Today I am thankful for my partners in crime ... ahem my coworkers. I can honestly say that I have a job I enjoy going to every day. The people that I work with are irreplaceable and they make every part of my day that much better.
It is a well known fact around the office that more than a few of our clients are coo-coo for cocoa puffs and they are just the beginning. But don't sweat it, as you are indulging in all kinds of crazy on the phone, your trusty neighbor in the cubic-hood is sending you an email that looks a little something like this ...So you manage to get off the crazy train at the next stop and you find yourself needing to call a carrier for more than just a tracking number. When you call to ask a question and find yourself first explaining what you mean by a BOL, POD or LOA, you know its really going to be a good day. And yet again your neighbor comes through with one of these ...
Our clients call us by the wrong names so many times it sometimes seems easier to just roll with it ... or all of them ... combined ... Jermamber. And when they get us really confused we've even witnessed one of our own call themselves by the client's name ... ever met a male named Monica??
Sometimes our line of work calls for words that Webster hasn't even thought of. We snough during allergy season and file letterly in our vertical file cabinets.
We have a victory log, post daily statuses on our "Cubed In" board, and are always up for a good office pot luck.
Do you have this much fun at work while getting actual work done? If so then make sure to be thankful for your coworkers during this month of giving thanks. If not maybe you should get a job at my work ;)
