It's Mother's Day and I'm a mommy.
I have been so emotional all day it's almost embarrassing.
When Mother's Day comes around for most moms I imagine they reflect on the day their child was born or even the moment they saw that pregnancy test register as positive. I keep going back to that phone call.
It was a typical Saturday night and I was actually mid pitty party. I was knee deep in hormone therapy and it had made me so so sick.
I was killing time on Facebook waiting for Don to get home and wouldn't you know a Facebook friend announced she was having triplets. That was a cruel joke right? So I turned to one of my best infertile friends for a shoulder to cry on and the only other guest at my full blown pitty party that night.
I was bitter, I was angry, I was begging God to help me understand and have faith in the big picture.
And my phone rang and God answered my 5 year long prayer.
I cannot begin to explain how being a mother after years of infertility has changed my life.
Today I am so thankful to our OBGYN who thought to call us, for his beautiful birth mother who chose life and then chose us and to God for having the most perfect plan for our family.
