To Birth Parents with Love

Welcome,

Thank you for opening your heart to us. We are truly honored that you have chosen to read our profile.
Although we have not officially met and are unaware of the circumstances that have led you to consider an adoption plan, we are praying for you and the precious life you are carrying.
When Love is Shared, it Grows
Shortly after we were married, we decided to start a family. After four years of struggling with infertility we were told we would not be able to conceive. While we were not expecting this news, we are very much at peace with what it means for our future. We understand that giving birth to a child is not our path in life, and God has something greater in store for us. It was then that we began to pursue adoption, and our excitement and dreams for our future began to grow. If there is one thing we have learned from our families it is that when love is shared it grows and we have more love to give.
 About Us
We are so excited to share a little bit about ourselves with you. We have known each other for 7 years, and have been married for almost five. We are deeply committed to each other, and consider each day that we spend together a gift.
Amanda has her degree in Psychology and hopes to achieve her masters in counseling to pursue a career as a high school guidance counselor.  There is no greater reward than helping a child plan the future of their dreams and watching them achieve it. Currently she is working for a nationwide retailer finding solutions to daily business related problems.  She enjoys the challenge it presents as well as the satisfaction with each proposed resolution.
Don is currently the Operations Manager for a local family owned retailer and is in the process of completing his degree in Business Management.  After graduation he plans to obtain his masters in Business Administration allowing for continued career advancement.
Before we began our journey to parenthood we decided to try our hand at parenting a few four legged children.  We quickly discovered we have a soft spot for animals and they love us nearly as much as we love them.  Currently we have two dogs named Cassie and Bella.  They are both labs and amazing with children of all ages.  They love to play fetch and let our two year old niece take the ball right out of their mouth!  We also have two cats named Kahlua and Sprocket who have become great companions and provide hours of entertainment for the dogs.
We love traveling and spending time together enjoying the great outdoors while staying active.  Don loves triathlon and recently completed his first Ironman in Arizona.  Amanda enjoys shorter 5K races just for fun.  We cannot wait to add children to our cheering section.
A Loving Home
Family is very important to us, and we are blessed to have so many loved ones close by. Both sides of our families live within several miles from us, and we see them several times every week. We have a standing dinner date with Don's parents every Friday night and make frequent day trips to see Amanda's family on Sundays.
We live in a three bedroom home on a quiet tree-lined street in a wonderful neighborhood with a fantastic school system.  Our yard is the perfect size for a swing set and we plan to fence it in next summer to provide the perfect play space for a child and their dogs. Our church is just around the corner with an excellent elementary school and plenty of young families for play dates.
Our home is filled with opportunities where our family will be able to express their creativity, explore the outdoors, laugh and be silly, celebrate friendships, discover their talents and follow their dreams. We will provide your child with the best education, encourage him or her to attend college and spend the rest of their life doing what makes them truly happy.
Our Promise to You
Children are a blessing from God, and we know that he has a perfect plan for you and the life of your child. You have shown unconditional love for your child with your adoption plan, and that is what we promise to do when he or she enters our lives. We promise to tell your child the sacrifice that was made by you and how you loved him or her so much that you gave us the opportunity to be his or her parents.  And we hope you will be a part of our family for years to come.
We want you to know that while becoming parents has been a lifelong dream of ours we understand this process is in fact not about us. It is about forming a lasting connection with you and nurturing your needs during this difficult time.  It is about providing you with all the options available to you so that no matter your decision you can be at peace.  It is about being supportive, accepting and not pressuring you into any decision you are not comfortable with.  Most importantly it is about the precious life you are carrying and providing him or her with the best life possible.
God has a plan for all of us and we are honored that he has prompted you to even consider us in your life’s plan. We can only imagine what you are going through and hope that if it ever becomes overwhelming you will know you have our support along the way.
With Love and God's Blessings,
Don and Amanda
