The Family

Mama and Papa:

Mama:  Loving wife, daughter, sister and mama to a zoo of 4 legged children.  I have met my soul mate and very best friend and we love everything about our life together.  I have loved babies from the time I was a very small child.  I was the kid in the church nursery on Sunday holding and feeding the babies instead of playing with children my own age.  I always thought I would get married and have a house full of children but God had other plans.  Following a long and heartbreaking struggle with health and infertility God has lead us to adoption and we could not be more excited!  I would describe myself as nurturing, creative and thrifty.  If it involves DIY or saving money count me in! 

Papa:  Loving husband, son, brother and master zoo keeper.  I have been fortunate enough to meet and marry my best friend and cannot wait to begin this next chapter in our lives together.  I have always wanted a large family and after our lengthy infertility struggle I feel like adoption is a dream come true.  We have so much love to offer and feel it is time to share that with a child, our child.  I would describe myself as patient, driven and goal oriented, athletic and easy going.  I completed my first Ironman race last year and look forward to sharing that part of my life with my child.

The Zoo:
Cassie - Our 4 year old rescue Black Lab.  She is a lover and just so thankful to have a forever home.  She instantly bonded with my husband and they have been the best of friends ever since.  She is gentle and playful and always looking for someone to give her a treat :)

Bella - Our 3 year old Red Fox Lab who we adopted as an adorable 8 week old puppy.  She is very energetic and eager to please.  She loves learning new tricks and would make a fantastic agility dog.  She is very much a mama's girl and keeps us in constant laughter with her BIG personality

Kahlua - Mama's very first pet.  She is incredibly shy and few people have ever seen her.  She is not a fan of Cassie and Bella at all and generally keeps to the basement.  Before you go feeling bad for her she has a kitty condo and her own food, water and toys down there.  She is Miss Independent.

Sprocket - He is our latest addition in an attempt to bridge the gap between Kahlua and the pups.  It was a long shot and while it hasn't brought Kahlua out of the basement he LOVES playing with the dogs and they love him.  Its so fun to watch.  We call him Rocky because in a cat vs dog tustle he wins every time!
