Checking off the To-Dos

Knowing that baby girl is coming sooner rather than later has really gotten us motivated when it comes to our home to-do list.
As many of you know adoption is expensive no matter how you go about it so many of our to-dos need to be completed on a strict budget.
For some time we've been unhappy with the look of our kitchen and slowly we have made some affordable changes.  Would we like to gut it and build a dream one from the floor up?  Heck yeah!  Is that feasible right now?  Nope.
So here's what we've been up to ...
This part was actually completed last year at this time and we were pretty happy with the change ...
This year we decided to take it up a notch while staying in our teeny tiny budget.
Before: (excuse all the project clutter)
After:
What do you think?  Were we successful in bringing it out of the 1960s and into the 2010s?
It's actually not too terrible of a project and I would recommend it to anyone looking for in inexpensive way to make a big visual impact :)
More to come on the pre-baby to-dos.
